Nakamitsu: Free tickets for blogggers

I asked my nice producer and she said yes.

No, I’m not marrying her. I did it, for you.

She says bloggers can have free tickets to see my play, Nakamitsu (as if you didn’t know). How is the night of May 29 (before “press” night) ? You’ve got to be more important than “press”, non?

Obviously, there is an expectation of a blog mention, but hey if you don’t like it or don’t want to then you don’t have to.

Mondays have pay as much as you can/want tickets if you are feeling broke or can’t make the May 29.

And for those who get restless, I reckon the play will be over in 45 minutes, although they are still rehearsing so it could be shorter!

Email / comment me if you are interested and I’ll pass your details on to the producer and I hope to see you at the play. Or more importantly in the pub below.

    Hey Ben,

I would have loved to have come down to see the play but Virgin Trains are so extortionate I can’t do – hopefully next time :)

[...] Ben emailed us to say that he has persuaded the producers of his adaptation/translation of the Noh play (or as we always insist on saying: 能) Nakamitsu (which plays at the Gate Theatre in Notting Hill from 24 May – 16 June) to give free tickets to theatre bloggers. [...]

Hi Benjamin – met you briefly at your play Yellow Gentlemen, and at one of Yellow Earth’s parties! I’ve only just discovered your blog and have added it to my site oneinchpunch.net!
I’ve love a ticket if you have 1 (possibly 2?!) still available. Also, do you have a larger image and text for the play Nakamitsu? I’d like to put an entry on my site for it!

    Cheers – Mark

    Hi Ben,

Unfortunately I was working overseas a the time and missed your show at the Gate. I did however read a review and article in the Guardina that has intrigued me ever since. I used to work as a professional composer (and did LOTS of theatre) in Sydney, and now combine a 9 to 5er as a government consultant with writing. Can’t say that I’ve enjoyed the success you have yet but I love it and have always felt strongly about participating in the ‘normal’ life of the rest of the species. Cant’ comment and write about them if you don’t know how they live’ is my approach. Anyway, just wanted to pass that on. Good luck with your next show. Is ‘Nakamitsu’ to be staged anywhere else?
